What is The AU Player Fund?

We are a group of volunteers who have come together to bring life to a long cherished dream, This dream is a supporters fund that has been discussed among die-hard fans of Ayr United Football Club (AUFC) for years. The committee is made up of a fantastic and committed group of men and women who give freely of their time and expertise to bring this dream to life. The golden thread that runs through this committee is our undying love for AUFC. Some of us barely knew each other before now but a strong bond has been formed to take our fan fund forward.

What happens to the money?

The money is held in The AU Player Fund accounts and released to AUFC on a monthly basis. The amount is based on membership numbers and forecast monthly subscriptions. During Season 2021-2022 £38,000 was transferred.

How do I join?

Get in touch by emailing us and we will issue a membership number and standing order form providing the details for you to submit to your bank or complete via online banking.

Why do I have to create a Standing Order?

The use of standing orders helps to minimise admin costs associated with managing the fund and ensure payments are tracked via membership numbers. The member is also in control should changes be required such as to reduce the amount or cancel payments. (Please email us to confirm any changes so we can update our records).

How do AUFC use the money?

There has been a commitment from the AUFC Board that the money is used solely for the playing staff either to help make payment for a new player or supporting 1st team player wages. The money will not be used for upgrading Somerset or other AUFC related costs.

Can I make a single donation?

Yes. Single donations are accepted via bank money transfer or via Paypal. Simply use the button at the top of the AU Player Fund Home Page. For bank transfers simply email us at and we will confirm our bank details for you to make your donation.
