Tomi is an Honest Man

Ayr United FC are pleased to announce the signing of striker Tomi Adeloye.

The 25-year old has penned a one-year deal with the Honest Men after joining the club for pre-season and scored in Tuesday’s win over Stranraer.

Manager David Hopkin said: "Tomi is something different to what we already have. He has real pace and power and leads the line really well. Tomi has goals in him and will compliment the strikers we already have here. We brought him up last week and as the days go on he will get fitter and stronger. We are absolutely delighted to get him signed as he had various options in Scotland and in England."

The London-born forward began his career at Charlton Athletic and was also on the books of Millwall and Stoke City before earning first-team experience in the English lower leagues and has over 80 appearances to his name in the National League for Dagenham & Redbridge, Ebbsfleet United and most recent side Barnet.

Tomi had a brief spell with East Kilbride in December last year, scoring a brace as a second-half substitute on his debut in a 9-0 win over Edinburgh University, but made just one further appearance before the Lowland League was suspended and he played out the season with National League side Barnet, scoring three goals in 17 appearances.
