Ayr United take great pleasure in confirming the appointment of Jamie Garrett as the club’s Supporter Liaison Officer, known as an SLO.
Jamie has been an Ayr supporter for over 50 years and has played a huge part in running the Ayr United Travel Club, ensuring that our supporters travel safely to away matches all over the country.
The main aim of the supporter liaison officer role is to build and maintain dialogue between supporters of Ayr United and the club itself.
Jamie will work towards developing a comprehensive understanding of all relevant matters affecting the club and its supporters.
Over time Jamie will gather feedback, formally and informally, from supporters and help to identify key issues and opportunities and communicate these to the club.
Jamie is already working closely with Roy Provan (Safety & Stadium Manager), and indeed has proved invaluable in helping to sort out some issues already.
The SLO role is backed by UEFA and the club feel it is an important role to provide an ear for our supporters at both home and away fixtures.
Jamie can be contacted by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and is also on twitter @Ayrslo
