Staffing Changes

Ayr United can confirm the following staff changes:

First Team Coach, Tommy Tait, will not be part of the coaching staff for the coming season.

Tam rejoined the First Team in 2022 and provided support to both Lee Bullen and Scott Brown over the next 4 seasons and is someone who has a long and positive history with the club as a player, youth coach, reserve coach and 1st team coach.

Tommy will always be welcome at Somerset Park.

Kieran Black is also moving on from his role as strength and conditioning coach to pursue a Masters in physiotherapy at Stirling University from September. Kieran joined the club initially as an intern before becoming a staff member from July 2025 and moves on with everyone’s thanks and best wishes.

Managing Director, Graeme Mathie: "Many thanks go to Tommy and Kieran as they depart the club. Tam has been with us for most of the time I’ve been here and we are very thankful for all his positive contributions over the last number of years. Feedback on Tam is consistent in that he is always positive, keen to help and someone who has added value to both coaching teams he worked with.

Thanks and best wishes also to Kieran who is going back to university to study physiotherapy. He was a popular member of staff throughout last season and work is ongoing to identify his replacement."
