Shirt/Shorts 14/15 event review

Ayr United’s annual shirt/shorts draw and auction event was another great success in the Ally MacLeod hospitality suite on Saturday night.

The event was hosted by AU media while Somerset Boab did a fantastic job as auctioneer and thrilled everyone in attendance by closing the night with a selection of his well known songs.

The event was won by local firm G and S Home Bakery who are well known Ayr United supporters and were extremely popular winners. They will have their names on the back of the shirts for the 14/15 season.

Runners up were another local firm Caledonia Vehicle Solutions which is owned by another Ayr supporter Jason Skimming. CVS will have their name on the teams shorts for this season.

The auction raised over 2 thousand pounds and the club would like to thank Slaters of Ayr, Corney & Barrow, Eddie Prentice of Prestwick St Nicholas golf club, Jim Jess of Prestwick St Cuthbert golf club and the Fairfield House Hotel for their kind donations. We would also like to thank everyone who made a bid for the items on the night and who gave us bids by phone prior to the event.
