It has been confirmed today that Michael Rose has concluded his medical and entered into a pre contract agreement with Coventry City football club. He will join Coventry for the start of season 2019/20.
Manager Ian McCall said “Like everyone connected to our club, I am extremely sad to see Michael go but given his level of performance in the last 18 months it was perhaps inevitable. I have absolutely no doubt that he will continue to give his all to Ayr United for the second half of the season.
On a positive note, it does show to any young, talented player that our club is a fantastic place to develop as a footballer and as a person. Coventry City and in particular their head of recruitment, Chris Badlan have been respectful and professional throughout this process.”
Michael said “I am pleased to get my future sorted out early as it allows me to concentrate fully on some very important games ahead, and to finish our season really strongly.”
Everyone at Ayr United would like to congratulate Michael on his new deal. He has been a fantastic professional and was instrumental during our title winning campaign last season.
