Queen of the South match information

Match preview

Queen of the South vs Ayr United

Ladbrokes Championship

Saturday 1st September 2018. Kick off 3pm

Team News – Every player is fit and available.

Ian says :”We are in the good position of having everyone available for selection however it also means that we have decisions to make. We have had a good start but there are only 3 league games gone and Queens had a great result last week so both teams will head into the game with confidence. No doubt we will have a really good support backing us and as always we will look to give them something to celebrate.”

The following is information provided from Queen of the South.

Turnstile numbers for visiting fans, section of the ground

BDS Digital (East) Stand sections 6 to 9 have been set aside for Ayr Utd supporters. Turnstiles 3 and 4 will be in use. The away stand catering outlet will be available for use of Ayr Utd supporters. Catering is also available in the Arena café where a full menu is available before kick-off.

Tickets, location of sales & entry cost

Entry is by ticket only. The away ticket office will be open for away supporters from around 12 noon and is situated adjacent to the BDS Digital Stand turnstile numbers 3 and 4. In addition, supporters who choose to park in the Arena car park have access to a ticket office at that location.

Please note that the away ticket office is a CASH ONLY office. Should spectators wish to pay by card then they should purchase their tickets at the Arena ticket office.

A sizeable away support is expected. Spectators should arrive in plenty of time to ensure that they purchase their ticket and gain entry to the stadium for the kick off. Turnstiles open for admission at 2.00 p.m. Ayr Utd supporters may wish to purchase tickets when dropped off at ground and before travelling across town for refreshments. This would save unnecessary queueing on return to the ground.

Ticket prices are:

Adults £18
Concessions £10
Under 16 £5
Adult Accessible £8
Conc. Accessible £5
U16 Accessible £3

Car Parking/Bus Parking and any on-street restrictions

It is suggested that buses/minibuses drop off their passengers in Terregles St/King Street and thereafter park on College Mains road just off the roundabout with the A76 on the town bypass (adjacent to Curry’s/PC World, as the other side at Aldi is the access road to the ambulance depot and is extremely busy). Pick up should be the same location.

Any local roadworks etc. that may cause delays

There are no known roadworks in the area that will cause any delays.

Disabled access

Wheelchair access for away supporters is on the south side of BDS Digital stand. There is a layby on King Street for vehicles to drop their passengers for flat access to the ground. Disabled parking is available on the north side of the BDS Digital Stand or at the Arena car park. The cost of entry of 1 personal assistant is included in the price of the accessible ticket.

Specific advice for away fans in respect of condition of entry e.g. searching policy, unacceptable behaviour?

QOS have adopted a robust search policy for spectators entering the ground to ensure that ground rules and regulations are strictly adhered to, especially in relation to pyrotechnic devices and controlled containers. Palmerston Park is a non-smoking venue, this includes e cigarettes and other such devices. Stewards are empowered to eject spectators who disobey these rules. All spectators are requested to abide by our unacceptable behavior policy. No persons will be admitted to the ground who are deemed to be under the influence of alcohol.

Queen of the South FC look forward to hosting you at Palmerston and wish you a safe and enjoyable journey to and from our stadium. Further information can be accessed via our website qosfc.com and social media.
