We can today confirm that Steven Bell has left Ayr United after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

Manager Mark Kerr said :”Belly felt that due to work and other commitments he just couldn’t give what he would need to play at this level again this season. His job meant that he wouldn’t be able to have the fitness or application that would be required to be an active member of this squad. This is something we have been talking about for a wee while now and he was honest the entire time which meant we were able to plan in advance.”

With 70 appearances for the Club since signing in January 2018, and playing a huge part in the League One Title win later that season he has played a big part in our recent history. Everyone at Ayr United wishes Steven all the very best for the future.

Craig Moore has had a recurrence of Cruciate Ligament Injury. Craig suffered the injury during pre season and was operated on at the end of last week. Craig has been incredibly unlucky with injury recently and unfortunately the likelihood is that he will now miss the majority of this season. Everyone at the Club is fully behind ‘Moorey’ and will be supporting him during his rehabilitation.
