O'Neills | New Partnership
O'Neills | New Partnership
We are delighted to announce a long-term partnership with O’Neills Sportswear. The number of brands who bid to be associated as our new kit partner was very encouraging, and O’Neills stood out given their ability to control the entire manufacturing and delivery process from within the UK which helps with very competitive lead times, they will also offer an increased range of sizing for replica kits from infant to 7XL including women’s fit, and have an ability to design bespoke kits and leisure wear every season. We have been impressed by their desire to work with Ayr United and look forward to working with Paul Berry and his team going forward.
The men’s first team will wear the new home strip in the last home match of this season and there will be replica jerseys and additional merchandise available to purchase in the club shop by the same date. The away strip is scheduled to be launched in June, and a special 3rd strip in September.
The men’s and women’s teams will again wear the same home strip due to the continuing partnership with Jewson. We are looking forward to sharing the designs with supporters in the coming months and I am sure they will be happy and proud to wear an Ayr United/O’Neills jersey in the years ahead
Paul Berry, O’Neills UK Sales Manager said “Everyone at O’Neills Sportswear is delighted to welcome Ayr United FC to the O’Neills family. From the initial conversations with the club it was clear that there are a number of areas where both of our organisations hold similar values. None more so than the strong ties that Ayr United FC have within their local community. This draws parallels to O’Neills Sportswear and the community based GAA and Rugby League markets that are deep rooted and have become synonymous with over recent years. The UK football market is an area that we have seen significant growth over the past few seasons, in Scotland with Partick Thistle FC and Falkirk FC, as well as South of the boarder in England with Wycombe Wanderers, Sutton United FC, Rochdale AFC and Bristol City FC, so we’re really excited to add Ayr United FC to that portfolio of partner clubs. There is plenty of work going on behind the scenes already. The new home, away and 3rd kits are being created as well as a wide selection of retail pieces in addition to the traditional replica shirts which we’re sure the United fans will love.”
