The club were pleased over the summer months to further improve our relationship with O'Neil Gas Services.

Brian O’Neil, a lifelong Ayr fan, has been a businessman in the town for almost 30 years and heads up the successful O’Neil Gas division.

Last season saw O'Neil Care add to their trackside board with the sponsorship of our Main Stand Snack Bar and were also lucky enough to win the sponsorship of the back of last season's home shirt in our annual Sponsorship Draw..

Brian was so delighted with the final look and the exposure that O'Neil and Ayr United struck a deal to continue the back of the shirt sponsorship into Season 2023/2024.

Brian said: “As a fan who’s been coming here all my life, I can confidently say these are really positive times.

“With David Smith coming in as chairman, you can really see the shift in direction of where the club is going.

“I really feel there’s a difference about the club just now – I’ve met David a few times and first and foremost he’s a good businessman.

“I think his plans are achievable and make sense. You only have to look around at the new stand, the Hub and what we’re trying to do here now.

“My company is based in Ayr and I know what work the club is doing within the community and how important that is.

“So any part I can play in that as a businessman and a fan is great.”

United commercial boss Martin Tocker explained: “Brian has been a great supporter of the club in the last few years through things like ad boards and sponsoring an upgrade of our main stand snack bar.

“Their logo is now on the back of the retail kits sold in the club shops as well. It represents one of the most significant investments we have from a local business and is vital to what the club does.”
