McAdams is new United keeper
Aidan signs for the Honest Men
Ayr United FC are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Aidan McAdams.
22-year-old Aidan joins the Honest Men after impressing between the posts for Championship rivals Greenock Morton last season.
Manager David Hopkin said: "Aidan had a great season for Morton so we are delighted to be able to get him, especially as he had several options. He is a really good age at 22 and has a good future in the game. It is no surprise that he won every award going at Morton and we are certain that he will continue his development here. We made it one of our priorities to get a goalkeeper signed to the club as it has been loans for the last few years so we are really pleased to have signed Aidan for two years.
The Glasgow-born ‘keeper started his career with Celtic before making the switch to Old Firm rivals Rangers in 2017. During his time with the Ibrox club, Aidan gained first team experience on loan at Annan Athletic, Edinburgh City and NIFL Premiership side Portadown before signing a one-year deal at Morton last summer and becoming David Hopkin’s number one at Cappielow.
Aidan has signed a 2 year contract with the Honest Men.
