We would like to thank everyone who purchased the live stream for last nights Betfred Cup match with Annan. We have taken some time to go through feedback sent to us and have also spoken with a wide variety of supporters who tuned in.
The feedback has been mixed in that a lot of you had no, or few, issues whereas some had problems with a freezing screen.
The main issues we had were as follows:
We are investigating the various settings available to us in our broadcast software which will determine the optimum setup to provide a smoother coverage.
Lack of sound for the first 5 minutes.
This was a cabling issue. This should not occur again, but we will run an additional test prior to Saturday’s game to verify the sound output is correct.
Purchased ticket codes being shown as Invalid.
We are implementing the following solution. You will need to click a link on your receipt email to verify the code provided.
Our coverage will continue on Saturday with the visit to Somerset Park of Queen of the South in the Championship. Tomorrow (Thursday) we will issue information about how to purchase tickets. For season ticket holders we will send out details on how they can watch the match with their season ticket code.
There are difficulties in producing a fool proof service (without the resources of a large scale TV broadcaster) and we are restricted in what we can do for some issues but rest assured that we have a team working hard to ensure that the live streaming works for you. Our aim is to provide a service of which Ayr United supporters can be proud.
We are also grateful to those who experienced some sort of issue and have since contacted us with details and constructive feedback which have helped us to understand the issues and to find solutions. We appreciate your support and your help to improve our service.
