Kick-off time change for Tuesday and Tickets now on sale

We can today confirm that our cinch Championship match with Raith Rovers, scheduled for Tuesday 7th September will now kick off at 6pm.

After our game with Raith was called off at the weekend the SPFL were keen to have the match played as quickly as possible due to more potential Covid disruption as the season goes on. Yesterday (Tuesday 31st) was not an option as our players were still isolating therefore we were advised the game should be played on Tuesday 7th or Wednesday 8th September as both clubs have midweek fixtures throughout September.

As a Club we have to look after the interests of our players and after lengthy period away from training it was felt that that playing Raith on the Tuesday night and giving the players an extra day recovery before facing Dunfermline on the Saturday would give us the best chance in that fixture.

We did not want to be in the situation of asking our supporters to choose between one of our fixtures and a Scotland World Cup qualifier but also appreciate that the game should be played as soon as possible in case of future fixture issues.

We understand that moving the game to 6pm will not suit everyone however we felt that it will give more people an opportunity to watch the majority of the Scotland game along with our match.

The support of our fans is crucial to us, as was shown in the Cup game against Dundee United, tickets for the game are on sale now and we would hugely appreciate your backing, under the lights at Somerset on Tuesday.

Tickets can be purchased online here or from our Club Shop.
