On Friday, Ayr United Under 18s made the long journey to Dingwall for their CAS Performance League fixture against Inverness CT. The Honest Men narrowly lost 2-1 when a first half equaliser from Lucas McRoberts was cancelled out by a second half goal from the home side.

Inverness CT took the lead after 6 minutes when a ball was played into the box which was met by their number 7 who slotted it past Ollie Ecrepont and into the net.

The Honest Men got their equaliser 6 minutes later. Lucas McRoberts and Ryan Kennedy played a one two at the edge of the box before McRoberts took a touch in the box and fired a great finish past the Inverness CT keeper.

Inverness CT took the lead of the game again in the 79^th minute when their number 8 made his way past a few Ayr United players before firing it into the back of the net.

The visitors came close to grabbing an equaliser in the 86^th minute. Lyall Holding cleared the ball up the pitch to Lucas McRoberts just past the half way line. McRoberts drove towards the box but his effort was denied by the left hand post. Ryan Kennedy met the rebound but his effort went over the crossbar and the game ended 2-1 in favour of the home side.
