Lottery Update

Agent Information

We are delighted to announce that the Lottery Office will be open from Monday 7th September, although it will be different to what you are used to. In keeping with the Government Guidelines regarding social distancing there will be new procedures in place which must be adhered to.

  • No agent will be allowed to enter the Lottery Office

Thee Lottery Office will only be open for agents who need to see someone on a Monday between 10am and 12.30pm. At the moment it will not be open for anyone outside of these hours and the following will apply:

  • Prior to visiting the office, you need to phone and book a time-slot. This is so we don’t have too many arriving at the one time.
  • You will not be allowed into the office itself, just the doorway.
  • On arrival at the Lottery Office you must be wearing a face covering.
  • Any paperwork you want to give us must be put onto the table at the door.

It is imperative that all agent returns are received either by email or however has been agreed with the Lottery Office by Monday evening. Monies and returns not received by then will not be included in the draw on the Tuesday.

If you wish to discuss then please give us a ring at the Lottery Office from the above date or phone Janine on her mobile 07921 507667.

These procedures will remain in place until Covid-19 precautions are relaxed. We appreciate your support on adhering to these procedures and thank you for your help in keeping everyone safe!

Once again, we wish to thank you for your ongoing support, it is very important to us to enable us to continue supporting Ayr United Football Club.

Season Tickets Important Information

Due to the ongoing situation surrounding Covid-19, we are unable to guarantee the way in which games will go ahead in the 2020/21 Season. We may have games played behind closed doors, which will be streamed, games with reduced crowds due to social distancing and ‘normal’ games with no crowd restrictions.

Therefore, we need to be flexible at this stage and we ask for everyone’s understanding during this ever-changing situation we find ourselves in.

Renewing a Season Ticket

Supporters can renew their Season Ticket online. You must log in to your ticket account first where you will then be prompted to renew your Season Ticket. When you visit the ticket page, the ‘Account Login’ can be found at the top right corner of the page.

Supporters who renew their Season Ticket for the 2020/21 Season can continue using their Season Ticket card that was issued during the 2019/20 Season.

Stand Season Tickets

As there could potentially be Covid-19 restrictions in place during the 2020/21 Season, supporters will be unable to purchase/renew individual seats in the Stand.

Instead, supporters will be able to purchase/renew a Season Ticket for a section of the Stand only (e.g. Family Stand, East Stand or Centre Stand). If Covid-19 restrictions, including social distancing, are in place then the Stand will be operating with a reduced capacity and it cannot be guaranteed that supporters will get to sit in the same seat for every game.

We expect to make individual seats available for purchase/renewal again from the 2021/22 Season.

Wheelchair users and Ambulant supporters

We now have Disabled Supporters Season Tickets available for both Wheelchair users and Ambulant supporters and are priced at the Concession rate. These tickets cannot be purchased online and must be purchased in the Club Shop, as proof of disability will be required when purchasing.

The Disabled Supporters Season Ticket will admit one plus one Carer.

If Covid-19 restrictions, including social distancing, are in place during the 2020/21 Season then the Disabled section of the Stadium will be operate with a reduced capacity and priority will be given to Wheelchair users and their Carers.

Supporters Club and Silver Club tickets

Due to the potential Covid-19 restrictions, both Supporters Club and Silver Club tickets will be unavailable for purchase at this present time.

The Club’s decision on the management of Covid-19 restrictions, including social distancing measures and reduced capacity of the Stadium, shall be final.

Season Tickets are now on sale and are available for purchase/renewal here –

Club Statement – Season Ticket Refunds

Further to our statement released on 28th May about partial refunds for season tickets, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who waived the refund.

In trying times, this has only reinforced a fact we are all too aware of, that Ayr United has an incredible set of supporters. Not only have they been digging deep to help through the Lottery, the AU500 Fund, club events and numerous raffles but only 13 people requested a partial refund and for that we are humbled and grateful.

Everyone has different circumstances and whilst we are happy to help some with the refund, this level of support from our fans has made the difficult job of managing the club through Covid-19 a little easier.

Also, because the waiver is effectively a donation we can adjust the VAT which also has a positive impact on our accounts.

We are all longing to get back to Somerset Park and celebrate some kind of normality with everyone. Hopefully we can start moving towards some dates for fixtures soon and start the exciting work of getting ready for the new season.

Club Statement

With regards the game against Queen of the South at the weekend, it has come to our attention that there was instances of coin throwing and a steward being spat in the face.

This is wholly unacceptable and in no way can be excused.

We are working closely with Queen of the South and Police Scotland with a view to tracing the culprits.

Can I ask that if anyone has any information with regards these incidents, please contact me on stadium@ayrunitedfc.co.uk or via Jamie Garrett slo@ayrunitedfc.co.uk

Car Parking/Bus Parking and any on-street restrictions

It is requested that buses/minibuses drop off their passengers in Terregles St/King Street and thereafter park on College Mains road just off the roundabout with the A76 on the town bypass (adjacent to Curry’s/PC World, as the other side at Aldi is the access road to the ambulance depot and is extremely busy). Pick up should be the same location. Supporters buses including minibuses will not be allowed to park in the Arena car park.

Car parking is available in the Arena car park, alternatively there is plenty of other on & off street parking available around the stadium.

Any local roadworks etc. that may cause delays

There are no ongoing roadworks currently around Dumfries that may affect travel times to Palmerston Park. Fans should check the Traffic Scotland website at http://trafficscotland.org/index.aspxfor confirmation of any delays.

Disabled access

Wheelchair access for away supporters is on the south side of BDS Digital stand. There is a layby on King Street for vehicles to drop their passengers for flat access to the ground. Disabled parking is available on the north side of the BDS Digital Stand or at the Arena car park. The cost of entry of 1 personal assistant is included in the price of the concession ticket.

Specific advice for away fans in respect of condition of entry e.g. searching policy, unacceptable behaviour?

QOS have adopted a robust and thorough search policy for spectators entering the ground to ensure that ground rules and regulations are strictly adhered to, especially in relation to pyrotechnic devices and controlled containers. All bags will be searched and spectators presenting themselves for entry may also be subject to search. Spectators who refuse to be searched by stewards will be denied entry to the ground.

Palmerston Park is a non-smokingvenue, this includes e cigarettes and other such devices.Stewards are empowered to eject spectators who disobey these rules. No persons will be admitted to the ground who are deemed to be under the influence of alcohol. This will be strictly enforced.

All spectators are required to abide by our acceptable behavior policy.

Queen of the South FC look forward to hosting you at Palmerston and wish you a safe and enjoyable journey to and from our stadium. Further information can be accessed via our website www.qosfc.com and social media.

Ticket Queues on Match Day

We wish to acknowledge the issue of a large volume of people queuing to purchase Match Tickets on Saturday, at our match against Partick Thistle.

This was caused by a very large amount of people buying tickets close to kick-off.

We strongly recommend that tickets are bought prior to Match Day as we have very limited provision for selling tickets on the day (11am to kick-off from the Admin Office).

However, there is ongoing availability. Tickets are sold in the Club Shop during the hours of:

  • Monday – 1pm to 5pm
  • Wednesday – 2pm to 5pm
  • Thursday – 2pm to 7pm
  • Friday – 10am to 4pm

You can buy in person or by phoning through your order to the staff, who will be happy to help.

The most popular option and easiest way to purchase tickets is online, on a computer or on your smart phone, using the links published on our website for each match.

Tickets are usually available three weeks in advance of matches.

If you are a regular attendee, then it is best to create an account and from there you can purchase tickets match by match with your personal login. The online service is available 24/7.

We understand that there will be some supporters who decide last minute to attend the match and turn up to buy on the day. At this stage you can still purchase tickets on your phone as you will be sent an online ticket which will be scanned at the turnstile from your phone, with no need to go to the ticket sales point.

We endeavour to help you as much as possible with giving out information and guidance to assist and ask that you are supportive of the ticket system. Our staff took a lot of verbal abuse on Saturday and while we understand your frustration, we ask that you treat our staff with courtesy while they go about servicing the needs of every customer.

Thank You

On the eve of the new season, Ayr United would like to thank all of the volunteers who gave up their time to help during the close season and in particular our regular volunteers who have helped massively in preparing the Stadium for the new season.

Many thanks,

Roy Provan
