The Ayr United ‘Honest Men and Bonie Lasses’ Burns Supper is due to take this Friday in the Ally MacLeod Hospitality Suite.
We are still requiring a number of ticket sales to ensure this event can go ahead and what a night it promises to be.
We have assembled a fantastic cast for the night which sees former Scotland manager Craig Brown giving his unique take on the immortal memory.
The immortal Memory will be given by the former Scotland manager Craig Brown who guided Scotland to Euro 96 and France 98.
Ian Macpherson MBE will deliver the Toast to the Lassies. Ian has spoken about Burns all over the world and is a Past President of the world largest Burns Club, the Bridgeton.
Yvonne Waring, a very talented actress who has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe for the last 15 years consecutively, will provide the Reply to Ian’s Toast.
There will also be a recitation from lifelong Ayr United fan Bill Boyd who is a National Trust for Scotland tour guide in Alloway and a very knowledgeable Burnsian.
Music and song will be provided by the professionally trained singer and native of Arran, Frances Coyle and experienced Scots performer George Ferguson.
Seasoned after dinner speaker and Burns performer Graham Hill will MC the event and will be reciting Tam O’Shanter.
This event should be one of the highlights of our calendar and we need your support to ensure it goes ahead. Tickets are £35 and available from our club shop or contact 01292 263435 ext3
