On Sunday afternoon, Ayr United Under 17s welcomed Queen of the South to the Riverside. The Honest Men won 4-2 thanks to goals from Jamie Hislop, Jack Allan, Jude McClymont and Kyle Fraser.
Ayr United took the leas early in the game when Jamie Hislop scored with only 3 minutes on the clock when he fired an effort from 25 yards out into the top right corner. Jack Allan then doubled the Honest Mens lead 5 minutes later when he stole the ball from the Queen of the South defender and drove into the box before chipping the ball over the outcoming keeper and into the right hand corner of the net.
Queen of the South grabbed a goal back in the 17th minute when the ball was played into the box and put into the net. In the 33rd minute, Ayr United got their 2 goal lead back thanks to a fantastic strike from left back Jude McClymont. McClymont made a great run before curling an effort from 20 yards out into the right hand side of the net to give his side a 3-1 lead going into half time.
Ayr United started the second half quickly and scored in the first 2 minutes. Jack Allan made his way into the box and chipped the ball into the 6 yard box where Kyle Fraser headed it in at the back post.
Queen of the South got another goal back a few minutes before the end when a penalty was awarded against Adam McNally which the away side scored.
