Planning is now complete for Ayr United’s ‘Honest Men and Bonie Lasses’ Burns Supper which is due to take place on Friday 7 February 2020 in the stadium’s Ally MacLeod Suite . It promises to be another fantastic evening.
The immortal Memory will be given by one of the country’s finest authorities on Burns, John Shirkie of Tarbolton. John has appeared in numerous Burns’ television documentaries and his knowledge of our Bard is second to none.
Niven Rennie from Alloway will deliver the Toast to the Lassies. Niven is one of Scotland’s best and funniest after dinner speakers. He has spoken at many prestigious Burns Suppers all over Scotland. After a 30 year career in the police which culminated in him becoming a Chief Superintendent, he has a bank of humorous stories to keep his audiences thoroughly entertained.
