This week we had the chance to pay a huge thank you to one of the club’s major backers in recent times.
As many of you will know, Chris Steele and the team at Arthur Street Kitchen have been big supporters of ours off the field for around five years now.
Chris and the guys were preparing to host another of our Player of the Year nights at the end of last season before matters were taken out of our hands.
Unfortunately the Covid-19 lockdown meant the event couldn’t happen in person at the end of April, but we were determined to still go ahead in some shape or form.
As you’ll be aware, we held our virtual Player of the Year event, and it was a huge success with around 400 tickets sold.
Everyone who bought a ticket received a one off T Shirt, and we decided to donate an amount of the proceeds to Arthur St Kitchen for losing out on hosting the event.
Fans were still able to vote online for the winners and Daniel Harvie was voted Player of the Year with Stephen Kelly taking Young Player of the Year.
This week we headed to ASK to give owner Chris the cheque.
We’re delighted that we can give a little back to one of our major backers and wish Chris, who runs ASK, The Hollybush Inn, Stage Door Restaurant and his most recent venture Twenty20, huge success going forward.
He has confirmed that despite a tough period for the industry they will be continuing their support for the 2020/21 season, something that we are very grateful for.
