6. Andy Geggan
Another player with captaincy experience having worn the armband for three seasons at former club Dunfermline Athletic. Andy returned to Somerset Park in the summer, signing a two-year deal. His pervious spell at Ayr – during which the Honest Men reached the League Cup semi-final but were unable to avoid relegation from the second-tier – was sandwiched between spells at first club Dumbarton and Dunfermline, where he captained the side that beat United to the League 1 title in 2016. A tough tackling midfielder, Andy has recently been repurposed as a right-back and is equally comfortable in either position. He also poses a significant thread at set-pieces as demonstrated by his winning goal in the Ayrshire Derby at the start of the season.
