Ayr United vs. Alloa Athletic
SPFL Championship Saturday 30th January 2021.
On Saturday, we welcome Alloa Athletic to Somerset Park for our first home match of 2021. The Honest Men returned to action last weekend after three weeks without a game, earning a goalless draw away to second-placed Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park.
United remain unbeaten at home in the league this season but have gone six games without a win in the Championship and will look to change that when they host the Wasps.
Opposition
Alloa Athletic head to Ayrshire sitting in ninth position in the league table, one point above bottom side Arbroath. The Wasps are without a win in their last six matches, including a 3-2 defeat at home to Cove Rangers at Recreation Park in the Scottish Cup. Alloa’s last match was a 3-1 defeat at home to league leaders Hearts.

Looking to build on last week, we had a good solid shape about us and looked a good unit right throughout the team. We haven’t played at Somerset this year so we are looking forward to being at home and want to get off to a good start. We have had a few weeks to really work on things and we now have some real competition for places which can only help us moving forward
