All Owls Welcome!
Happy Wednesday.
Following on from our appointment of Lee Bullen as Head Coach, we are pleased to extend an invitation to all Sheffield Wednesday season ticket holders to take in a match at Somerset Park before the end of the season.
When Lee made the move north to join Ayr the outpouring of goodwill, from Wednesday fans towards the man they regard as a legend, was both humbling and impressive.
Ayr United would like to embrace that goodwill and are calling on all Owls, prepared to travel north, to join us in our vital run-in towards the end of the season.
Any Sheffield Wednesday season ticket holders who would like to attend a match are being asked to send their unique supporter number direct to us at owls@ayrunitedfc.co.uk as well as indicating which match(es) they would like to attend.
Tickets will then be available, free of charge, on the day of the match from our club shop upon production of your season ticket.
Our remaining home matches are as follows:
Dunfermline – Saturday 5th February 2022, 3pm.
Queen of the South – Saturday 26th February 2022, 3pm.
Kilmarnock – Friday 11th March 2022, 7.45pm.
Hamilton – Saturday 2nd April 2022, 3pm.
Inverness – Saturday 9th April 2022, 3pm.
Partick – Friday 29th April 2022, 7.45pm.
Commercial Manager, Martin Tocker, said “We were keen to do something after the Head Coach joined us and we saw just how highly regarded he was at his old club.
Our social media channels had a huge uptake in followers and we just had to see through the latest round of restrictions in order to announce our idea.
I must also thank Sheffield Wednesday for their help in facilitating the plan - but I do need to ask the Wednesday fans to leave their blue and white scarves at home when they visit!”
On the plan, Head Coach Bullen said “It’s no secret how close to my heart the club are, I’d be delighted to welcome some fans to Somerset Park.”
